Chianti Classico DOCG
Aging: 12 months French oak (500 lt.), 3 months in the bottle
Current release: 2017
The very first wine produced by the estate and appropriately named after owner and the heart of Querceto, Laura Di Battista.
A bright ruby red wine with an austere nose, the L’aura 2017 has strong notes of ripe fruit and expresses the minerality of our terroir. It’s a wine with subtle hints of warm spices, good structure and well-integrated tannins, and leaves you with a pleasant touch of cacao in the finish.
At Querceto, we wholeheartedly believe great wine is made in the vineyard.
It's the reason we focus on those grape varieties that best express our terroir, like Sangiovese.
It’s also why we apply organic techniques for managing our 28 acres of vines, and focus on producing wines of high quality without chemical treatment and as little disruption as possible to the natural surroundings.
