Chianti Classico DOCG
Aging: 12 months French oak (500 lt.), 3 months in the bottle
Current release: 2019
The very first wine produced by the estate and appropriately named after owner and the heart of Querceto, Laura Di Battista.
A vibrant ruby red wine. Most magical, alongside the aromas of fresh red and black cherries is the note of Orris, Iris root, a rare perfume treasured by parfumiers - redolent of violets, pepper and fresh cotton sheets. Medium bodied yet full spirited, the palate is exemplary Sangiovese, dynamic in structure high acidity and high tannins are balanced by perfectly ripe, premium fruit.
Enjoy a glass at lunchtime, dinnertime...anytime - versatile and beautifully balanced, you may not even need a meal perhaps just a comfortable spot to sit!
At Querceto, we wholeheartedly believe great wine is made in the vineyard.
It's the reason we focus on those grape varieties that best express our terroir, like Sangiovese.
It’s also why we apply organic techniques for managing our 28 acres of vines, and focus on producing wines of high quality without chemical treatment and as little disruption as possible to the natural surroundings.
